The off-grid Solar Sentry Trailer, designed by Specialized Solar Systems, is a sturdy and adaptable power station on wheels that can be customized to suit various mobile solar energy generation requirements. Originally designed for nighttime traffic checkpoints and emergency operations, it has proven versatile for other applications as well.
The Solar Sentry Trailer is easily deployable and can be towed at speeds up to 80 kilometers per hour on most terrains, thanks to its 15-inch tires. It provides a self-sufficient solar energy supply for powerful 4 x 100-watt 24-volt DC floodlights that can illuminate any environment, making it ideal for mining applications.
During the daytime, the expandable solar panels of the Solar Sentry can generate up to 6 kWh of power, which is stored in the safely hidden battery bank within the trailer. This battery bank can provide up to 15 kWh of backup power during the night, ensuring many hours of high-powered lighting.
In addition, the Solar Sentry includes AC power outlets that can power AC electrical equipment. It can be connected to a 220V AC outlet to charge the battery without extending the PV array.
