This houses electrical system runs with solar primarily supplying the system with 9kW/hours per day. The design demonstrates how Wilderness grid support solar solutions can combine renewable sources and Eskom as backup. In simple terms, they have 10kWhrs per day via solar and wind input if the battery levels start to run low a 5kW Victron inverter will switch over to Eskom power before the batteries lifespan can be affected.
The house has a solar geyser as well as a gas geyser and is also running with ultra energy low efficient wattage LED lighting.
