Kingswood Clubhouse Hybrid Solar System
Project: Kingswood Hybrid Solar Installation
The Kingswood hybrid solar project demonstrates how Specialized Solar Systems delivers elegant, off-grid-ready energy for luxury estates. Designed for the new Kingswood Golf Estate clubhouse, this solution combines performance, aesthetics, and energy intelligence.
The system includes 142.38 kWp of rooftop PV and 196.8 kWh of lithium storage. It’s powered by 9 × Victron Quattro 15kVA inverters and 3 × Fronius Eco 27 kW inverters, enabling grid-tied and backup operation. Charging is managed by 4 × Victron SmartSolar 450/200 and 1 × 450/100 MPPT, providing 900A of DC charging.
The system supports time-of-use optimization, reducing energy bills by discharging stored power during peak times. It also feeds surplus energy back into the municipal grid. This allows the estate to earn credits while maximising solar usage.

SSS worked closely with contractors to align the installation with the estate’s architecture. Panel placement, inverter room layout, and cable routing all preserve the visual integrity of the clubhouse. As a result, the Kingswood hybrid solar system performs without drawing attention to itself.
Why this matters:
- Uninterrupted energy for premium hospitality operations
- Smart battery control through Victron’s VRM platform
- Grid feedback, peak shaving, and future scalability
The Kingswood hybrid solar installation stands as a model for commercial estates seeking sustainable, low-maintenance energy without sacrificing quality or design.
