DESCRIPTION

Build-a-Board 01: 5kVA/48V Backboard

The Build-a-Board range from Specialized Solar Systems is designed for accuracy, convenience, and flexibility. The basic backboard includes a 5 kVA low-frequency Victron Multiplus II inverter/charger, along with an AC distribution box and a single phase DC connection/protection York box. Also included is a Victron Cerbo GX device with a colour touch screen and a long range wifi antenna, allowing for remote management and monitoring of the system. All these components are pre-installed on a backboard, making on-site installation simple and efficient.

The basic principle behind the Build-a-Board system is to afford consumers the opportunity to purchase an energy system that is modular in format and can be adapted to their specific needs. When purchasing this Build-a-Board unit and selecting a battery, one will then have the ability, using the GX device, to monitor the loads and refine the final system size, based on the consumption patterns. By asking your service provider to connect your system to the VRM Portal, you now have remote expertise to again assist you in getting the right system for your specific use. This takes the guesswork out of sizing an energy system and also allows for potential growth at a later stage, if required.

Please note that up to four batteries of the same size can be connected in parallel. Please ask your sales representative for more information in this regard. Also ensure that the communication cables that connect to the GX device are installed correctly, giving access to readings from all connected batteries.

  • SMARTSOLAR RS 450/200 MPPT: Can support up to 11.5 kWp solar array

Please note that multiple MPPT’s can be added to the system to support larger solar arrays. Please ask your sales representative for more information in this regard. Also ensure that the communication cables that connect to the GX device are installed correctly, giving access to readings from all connected MPPT’s.

Orders, Pricing and Collection:
  1. Currently, only one of each product can be added to your shopping cart. 
  2. All prices displayed are exclusive of shipping costs and are based on ex-factory rates in George, Western Cape, South Africa.
  3. The listed prices are subject to potential fluctuations and remain valid for a 24-hour duration.
  4. Once your EFT payment is reflected in our account, customers are welcome to arrange collection at the Specialized Solar Systems factory located in George.
  5. Specialized Solar Systems can arrange courier pricing upon request. Please include the delivery address with your order.
Payment Process
  1. After completing your order, an email will be sent to you containing your unique order number along with the details of your order. You will also receive our banking information.
  2. To facilitate payment, we only accept Electronic Funds Transfers (EFT).
  3. When making your EFT payment, always ensure a reference to your order number business, or surname. This helps ensure the accurate and efficient processing of your payment. Please email PoP to accounts@specializedsolarsystems.co.za
  4. Once your EFT payment is reflected in our account, you will receive a tax invoice via email. This invoice will serve as confirmation of your payment and order details.
  5. Please ensure that your EFT payment is successfully processed and cleared in our bank account before requesting an update to coordinate the collection or status of your order.
