The Solar Sentry Trailer, a mobile solar power station, is designed for African conditions and manufactured in South Africa by Specialized Solar Systems.

The mobile and robust solar power station on wheels is generally used for combating crime and road safety (customers can always contact Specialized Solar Systems for a customized design of The Solar Sentry Trailer to fulfill a specific and mobile solar energy generation requirement).

The design of the Solar Sentry is especially suited to traffic checkpoints at night. The unit is a self-sufficient solar energy supply for 4 x 100-watt 24-volt DC floodlights that illuminate the road surface for law enforcement officers to have a safer working environment during field operations.

With its unique design, the Solar Sentry Trailer is an easily deployable solar power station that can be towed behind fast-moving vehicles at up to 80 kilometers per hour. The 15-inch tires make the Solar Sentry capable of being towed on most terrains.

Within minutes, law enforcement officers can light up their environment and safely fulfill their duties. Additional AC power outlets also allow the charging of AC electrical equipment. During the daytime, the Solar Sentry, equipped with expandable solar panels, can supply up to 6 kWh of power to the battery bank, which is safely hidden away within the Solar Sentry. With a battery backup power bank of up to 24kWh the Solar Sentry can provide 14 hours of high-powered lighting during the night and has an additional 14 hours of autonomy without being charged by either solar or AC power (totaling to 28 hours of lighting).

The Solar Sentry can be connected to a 220V AC outlet, allowing the batteries to be charged without extending the PV array.  The Solar Sentry includes a blue tarpaulin cover with a 25-mm high-density sponge to protect the solar panels.

Orders, Pricing and Collection:
  1. Currently, only one of each product can be added to your shopping cart. 
  2. All prices displayed are exclusive of shipping costs and are based on ex-factory rates in George, Western Cape, South Africa.
  3. The listed prices are subject to potential fluctuations and remain valid for a 24-hour duration.
  4. Once your EFT payment is reflected in our account, customers are welcome to arrange collection at the Specialized Solar Systems factory located in George.
  5. Specialized Solar Systems can arrange courier pricing upon request. Please include the delivery address with your order.
Payment Process
  1. After completing your order, an email will be sent to you containing your unique order number along with the details of your order. You will also receive our banking information.
  2. To facilitate payment, we only accept Electronic Funds Transfers (EFT).
  3. When making your EFT payment, always ensure a reference to your order number business, or surname. This helps ensure the accurate and efficient processing of your payment. Please email PoP to accounts@specializedsolarsystems.co.za
  4. Once your EFT payment is reflected in our account, you will receive a tax invoice via email. This invoice will serve as confirmation of your payment and order details.
  5. Please ensure that your EFT payment is successfully processed and cleared in our bank account before requesting an update to coordinate the collection or status of your order.
