The Specialized Solar Systems’ Home Solar System has been designed for convenience and user-friendly functionality. It is also robust in its nature and has been designed with top quality components. Each Home Solar System has different functions and can be utilised as:
An OFF-GRID energy system
UPS energy system
As a HYBRID energy system
Each of these functions has different programming that needs to be set to ensure that you optimize your new Home Solar System. As a default, all our Home Solar Systems can be installed as off-grid units but at the same time could be utilized as a UPS or hybrid system. For the UPS and hybrid functionality, some tweaks in the programs might help, and we invite you to speak to your service provider to do so when installing the unit.There are four Home Solar Systems that you can select. Each system is a different-sized energy system. The size differences will be:
The inverter size
The battery capacity
The amount of solar panels supplied with the unit
The available Home Solar Systems are as follows:
HSS-0.5/0.64: 0.5 kVA Inverter, 0.64 kWh Battery, 200 W Solar Panels
HSS-0.8/1.35: 0.8 kVA Inverter, 1.35 kWh Battery, 300 W Solar Panels
HSS-1.2/2.7: 1.2 kVA Inverter, 2.7 kWh Battery, 400 W Solar Panels
HSS-1.6/2.7: 1.6 kVA Inverter, 2.7 kWh Battery, 600 W Solar Panels
Remember that not all appliances are used at the same time. It is always advisable to verify what appliances you have or to study the energy consumption and always purchase the lower energy-consuming units.Analyzing the amount of Amps each appliance uses and when you use these Amps will assist you in the choice of inverter size. Remember that volts x amps = watts. When analyzing the length of time for which you use the appliances, you can calculate the kWh’s and then add all the kWh’s that will be required to power these appliances daily. The battery size, and more importantly, the predicted production from the solar panels if the system is not connected to a grid or generator, will help you to determine the daily kWh’s available. Therefore, you should consider the inverter size, kilowatt hours needed, and battery size when making your selection.Once you have selected and purchased a Home Solar System, please read the “Technical Data Sheet with Installation Instructions” that is supplied with the unit. This booklet will have all the technical specifications of the main components and will explain the process of installing and commissioning your new energy system.
