42kWh per day Off-Grid solar system installation

Short video of a recent 42kWh per day residential Off-Grid solar energy system installation completed in Wilderness

The 42kWh Victron powered off-grid installation consisted of the following components:

2 x Victron Smart Solar 150/85-TR MPPT
1 x 15kVA Victron inverter|charger|controller
7.95 kWp (30 X 265W) PV Solar panels array delivering an average of 42kWh per day
48 x 2V Mil lead-acid storage cells in crates with additional water, self-watering maintenance system and control book (47kWh usable at 30% DOD). Total of 159 360kWh.
Victron CGX Color Control with battery monitor and Wi-Fi dongle for remote management
1 x Wi-Fi router for GPRS communication
Junction box, cables and surge protection for both AC and DC lines
The interconnecting cable between the energy system and house distribution box (CAROX 15m 3 core steel)
Installation of the complete system including single line diagrams, commissioning and COC

A great end result from a dedicated, professional and very hard working SSS team that didn't leave until our installation in Oudtshoorn was done way past office hours. These guys won't give up no matter how long it takes! Finally we are less dependent on Eskom and what a wonderful feeling and privilege. I was very satisfied with the professionalism and quality of the service provided by SSS at my home in Welgelegen George, installing a solar system.To put the cherry on top, I was informed by SSS about 2 weeks after the job was finished and paid for, that I have overpaid them by R32000 and that they would refund me! I was not aware of this and they could have kept quiet and I would never have known. This reflects great business ethics and I can really recommend these guys!

I've been investigating a solar solution for our house in Randburg for the past 5 years. From all the interaction I had with various companies SSS is by far the most professional.
