Video: Residential Hybrid Solar – Save on costs by using energy efficient appliances

In the video below Ray Nolan from Specialized Solar Systems presents a residential home that was commissioned a week before the COVID-19 South African lock-down at the end of March 2020. The installation consists of a hybrid solar system making use of 3-phased 15kVA inverters (5 kVA per phase) with 11.8kWp PV solar array generating an average of 50kWhrs per day. Energy is stored using LiP0 battery technology which delivers up to 28kWhrs per day of stored energy. What is interesting with this installation is how much energy the customer saved when replacing outdated appliances with energy efficient ones thereby saving whole lot on solar equipment costs?. A great end result from a dedicated, professional and very hard working SSS team that didn't leave until our installation in Oudtshoorn was done way past office hours. I was very satisfied with the professionalism and quality of the service provided by SSS at my home in Welgelegen George, installing a solar system.To put the cherry on top, I was informed by SSS about 2 weeks after the job was finished and paid for, that I have overpaid them by R32000 and that they would refund me! I was not aware of this and they could have kept quiet and I would never have known. This reflects great business ethics and I can really recommend these guys!
