316kVA 330kWp Grid-tied Commercial Solar Systems Installation.
Our commercial team has once again delivered on energy cost savings to a delighted farmer in the George area.
The installation uses 3-phase grid-tied solar systems with a total of 330,3kWp solar arrays generating a daily average of 1 486,35kWh and 316kVA inverters.
Being grid-tied, the solar power system is connected to the grid, allowing excess energy produced by the solar panels to be sold back to ESKOM. In this way, businesses can save money on their energy bills and even generate revenue or credits from their solar panels power generation.
The requirement was to install the systems at 4 different locations on the farm. Solis inverters were chosen to be used at each of the 4 sites, with site 1, 2 and 3 having 2 x 36kVA inverters each, and the last site having a single 100kVA inverter.
Site 1 has a PV solar array of 82.8kWp made up of 152 x 545W panels, while Site 2 and 3 both have 62kWp arrays with 114 x 545W panels. Site 4 has the largest array of 123.5kWp with 190 x 650W panels. These PV solar panels are designed to last for 25 years, with an expected degradation rate of 80%.
